Audit of Surveying Procedures in Laos
CADS was commissioned to undertake an audit of survey procedures high up in the clouds in beautiful Laos.
The mine is quite remote and is perched on a mountain range that contains large quantities of gold bearing ore.
The mine surveyors use the Trimble R8 DGPS for daily tasks that include drill pattern and ore block setouts, crest and toe pickups and GC hole surveys.
Being set in mountainous terrain means that wall stability monitoring at several locations is a critical part of the surveyors day. CADS will be assisting the site to automate this process.
